We work with whānau who are often living with complex needs to develop and strengthen their parenting skills and confidence so that their tamariki are able to thrive. About the role

• Based in Alexandra/Wānaka, Central Otago
• Permanent role - 30 hours per week
• Salary range $68,038 - $102,000 (pro-rated on hours worked) commensurate with skills and experience

About you 

• A tertiary qualification in Social Work that meets SWRB Registration is essential
• Knowledge of parenting and child development
• An understanding of Care and Protection principles and the Oranga Tamariki Act 1989
• Commitment to engaging in culturally safe and responsive practice and to your own Te Tiriti journey 
• Good knowledge of community resources and an ability to develop networks, including in Māori and Pasifika communities
• Experience working with whānau who need support with complex and often stressful situations
• Sound computer and database skills
• Current driver licence
