Anglican Family Care FAQs

Can I get free counselling through Anglican Family Care?

We offer free counselling for parents as part of our services. Check out our services page or contact us for more information.

Do I need a referral to access Anglican Family Care's services?

Referrals are necessary to access our free services. You can be referred to our services for free through your medical professional or community worker, or you can self-refer by contacting us.

Do I need to book an appointment in advance?

Most of our services require appointments, which we'll schedule after we receive a referral. For general enquiries, you can visit our locations or call us at any time during working hours. You can also contact us during our contact form or email at any time.

Does Anglican Family Care provide parenting courses?

We offer a variety of services that work with a whānau or individual one-on-one. This involves an assessment and plan tailored to meet the whānau or individual's needs, including parenting advice and support. Sometimes we assess that the Circle of Security Parenting programme TM would be helpful in meeting the whānau's needs. Head to our services page or contact us for more information.

Is what I discuss with Anglican Family Care confidential?

Your privacy is important to us. We keep everything you discuss with us confidential. The only exceptions are if you give us consent to share it, or there is a serious risk to someone's safety, health, or the environment, or if the law requires us to. You can read our full protected disclosure policy at the bottom of our website.

Is there any financial assistance available through Anglican Family Care's services?

No, but as part of our assessment we can connect you with other services that do.
