In response to a call from Anglican Family Care, 315 Euro hotel in Dunedin has provided us with a generous donation of soaps, shampoos and lotion bottles.

In 2015, Anglican Family Care distributed 1334 food parcels to families in need. Our food bank donations mostly include non-perishable items and canned goods. However, the families we work with are in desperate need of toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, etc.

Hygiene is very important, particularly those who are looking for jobs or for young people at schools. Lack of toiletries has been cited by our clients as being a barrier to job interviews, participating in society and as a cause for bullying.

In response to a call from AFC, 315 Euro hotel in Dunedin has provided us with a generous donation of soaps, shampoos and lotion bottles. Manager Jan Barclay said that owners Chris and Adrienne Roy have always believed in supporting community organization and this is a great example of how local businesses can support community organizations.  Anglican Family Care thanks the management, and especially all the hospitality support staff of 315 Euro who made this possible. As a result of this generous donation, our clients will greatly benefit from the addition of these items to our food parcels.

Foodbank co-ordinator Ginnie Ravell said “Thanks to the amazing generosity of 315 Euro Hotel our client families will now have access to a range of toiletries. All members of our society, including those suffering from poverty and other hardships, have the right to be clean and hygienic which in turn help provide them with dignity and self-respect”.
