Oceans Facilitator Training Workshop

Anglican Family Care warmly invites you to our Oceans Facilitator Training Workshop. This workshop is open to anyone interested in learning more about grief and loss, and how to support those navigating these challenging experiences.

What You’ll Experience: This two-day workshop, spaced a week apart, will delve into various models of grief, how children of different ages respond to grief, common causes and reactions, and trauma-informed approaches. You’ll also learn what makes a good facilitator, listener, and questioner.

Through interactive sessions, you’ll have the chance to practice the skills needed to support those who are grieving. While we’ll outline the Oceans grief and loss programme, the main focus will be on enhancing your understanding of grief and developing essential facilitation skills.

Why Attend: Whether you’re seeking personal growth or professional development, this workshop provides valuable insights and practical tools. You can attend for $20 as part of your professional development, or for free if you're training to become an Oceans facilitator. Morning and afternoon tea are provided.
