The Community Connector service was introduced to support the government’s Covid-19 response by working with individuals or whānau negatively affected by Covid-19.

When people require extra support to self-isolate, the Community Connector has been able to supply food parcels, special care packages, support with utility bills, or connections to other services and supports.

The Community Connector’s role has recently expanded to support the Southern Regional Public Sector Priorities - Employment & Training, Education, Mental Wellbeing, Drugs & Alcohol and Housing.

Lisa, our Community Connector is supporting individuals who do not meet criteria for other services, or who would not ask for help. We are grateful to those supporting our Service including the Clutha Budget Advisory Service, Clutha Development, Tokomairiro Hub, the Police and the Ministry of Social Development.
