As we all know, Aotearoa New Zealand south of the Auckland region entered Alert Level 3 of the government COVID-19 response at 11.59pm last night. This means that Anglican Family Care will continue to work remotely, and our offices in Dunedin, Balclutha, Alexandra, Wānaka and Oamaru will remain closed. While we cannot accommodate face-to-face appointments, staff across all of our sites and services/programmes will continue to work directly with whānau via phone, video, or email. Our 0800FAMCARE number is operating as normal, and any calls or messages will be directed to the appropriate person. For the best information on what Alert Level 3 means for you, please go to https://covid19.govt.nz

For the first time in our history, the Anglican Family Care Board of Trustees has recently initiated a governance internship. It demonstrates a progressive, solution-focused approach to address the difficulty in attracting people to Charitable Trust Board roles, targeting the 20 to 35 year age group. It is a non-voting role, with a two-year commitment and the intern has the opportunity to continue as a board member after the internship, where the programme would be rerun.
