An important message from our General Manager, Mike Williams

By Anglican Family Care | Posted: Tuesday March 24, 2020

Kia ora koutou, The Prime Minister's recent announcement on measures taken to minimise the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic will have a significant impact on normal life for all in our communities. This includes Anglican Family Care and the services we provide.

From Tuesday 24th March, all Anglican Family Care staff from our sites in Dunedin, Alexandra, Wanaka, Balclutha and Oamaru will commence working from home. All face to face service provision will temporarily cease, including home visiting, office and school-based work. We do take very seriously our obligation to our communities and the whānau we serve, but the health, safety and well-being of our staff must always be our first priority.

All of our staff have access to mobile technology, and wherever possible will use a combination of phone, email and video calling to maintain regular contact with the many clients and whānau we support. We understand the fundamental importance of staying connected and will continue to work purposefully in this way until the current restrictions are lifted by the government, which at this stage will be at least 4 weeks.

We will continue to post updates on Facebook to keep you informed, and will also post regular resources and tips to help support clients and whānau in managing what will no doubt be a very challenging time.

If you have any questions at all about how these changes might affect you please don't hesitate to contact us.

Ngā mihi nui

Mike Williams
