Spending time with your children without spending money

It is no secret that children are expensive and spending time with your kids at the movies or bowling is sometimes a struggle. Plunket and other child focused organisations, including Anglican Family Care, have joined together to help Dunedin families have a great day together without breaking the bank.

Plunket will be holding a Children’s Day event next Sunday 5th March at Forsyth Barr Stadium. There will be a range of organisations that work with and for children who will be providing entertainment and activities including face-painting and fun games.

Anglican Family Care will be at Children's Day with a setup of craft activities for children and staff will be available to have a chat and discuss our services and answer any questions about our organisation.

What separates this event to other children’s events is that it encourages spending time with children in a cost effective way. There will be no food stalls to encourage families to bring their own picnic lunch made from home and the parking on the day will be free.

The gold coin donation at the gate to cover the costs of the event will be the only ask of money throughout the day.

Make sure to invite your friends and family and let anyone know who has children under 5. Be sure to come visit us, we look forward to seeing you there!
