Bendigo Valley Foundation grant and a significant donation enable purchase of tablets

We are thrilled to have received funds towards the purchase of five tablets for social workers to use when they visit clients at home.

A grant from the Bendigo Valley Foundation, along with a significant donation from a supporter, have enabled us to purchase the tablets.

The tablets have already made a real difference to the work of our front-line staff. Team Leader Tash Punter (pictured above right, with Hattie, a whanāu worker) said, “Being able to access resources online with clients in their homes is invaluable. Most of us take for granted these days being able to get information or connect with services with the click of a button, but for many of the families we work with this is just not an option, and they, and their children, are negatively impacted."

She went on to say,  "Our workers are finding it so useful to sit with our clients and access information from services such as IRD, and Work and Income, information about finances, mental health, and parenting… the list goes on."

Thank you very much for your support!
